Definitely worth paying extra 15 euros to go on the vintage pipa Douro. It's a beautiful boat, only a small group and you can enjoy a glass of wine. If I went again I'd probably pack some cheese and crackers.
I had booked a Regular Departure Tour with 3 friends 6 months in advance with serval correspondence in-between. I was told at booking that they would confirm 48 hours before, ASSUMING it was weather dependant, which is understandable being on the water and a boat. 1 WEEK before departure, 3 days before my trip to Portugal I was sent a cancellation email with NO EXPLANATION. They offered a 5pm cruse the same day that was not conducive with my schedule, especially so last minute. A few days later they followed up asking if I wanted to book the 5pm cruise, after I had advised several times this time slot did not work. After a few emails back in forth explaining my disappointment I learned that they canceled the Regular Departure Tour for a private tour. There was NEVER an email asking if we would upgrade our tour to a private tour to keep the sailing and time spot/date. NO, they just canceled our reservation without any opportunity to do this, and now we are rushing to find a replacement tour 2 days before we depart for your trip. They are 100% not reliable and do not care about their customer's experience just about making money.

Freundlicher Empfang, kleine Gruppe und eine entspannte Tour mit netten Gesprchen in wunderschner Natur und bei einem Glas Wein It was a very nice Bootstrip - organized from Reiseprofi (Regensburg, Germany) as a part of the Portugal-Trip. There is a friendly Service and we see a amazing nature by talking with the small group and drinking a glas wine. (Sorry, my English is bot perfect, but this tour was it )
